ABSTRACT
Climate change poses significant challenges to agricultural productivity, food security, and rural Keywords: Climate-resilient agriculture, Adaptation, Mitigation, Conservation agriculture, Food
livelihoods through rising temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, extreme weather events,
droughts, floods, and emerging pest pressures. This review examines key adaptation and
mitigation strategies for developing climate-resilient agricultural systems. Adaptation
approaches include climate-smart crop varieties, diversified cropping systems, conservation
agriculture, efficient irrigation, integrated pest and nutrient management, agroforestry, and
precision farming technologies. Mitigation strategies emphasize carbon sequestration, improved
soil health, renewable energy, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and efficient resource
utilization. The review highlights the importance of integrating indigenous knowledge, digital
technologies, policy support, and farmer-centered approaches to enhance resilience,
sustainability, productivity, and long-term food security under changing climatic conditions.
