ABSTRACT
Salinity stress significantly impacts cotton productivity, necessitating comprehensive research into the effects and potential mitigation strategies. This systematic review thoroughly examines the impacts of salinity stress on cotton plants, discussing physiological, biochemical, and molecular responses. Several breeding and biotechnological approaches are evaluated, and relevant case studies are included to offer context-specific insights. While challenges and limitations in developing salt-tolerant cotton are acknowledged, the review emphasizes the promise of continued research and development in this area. Keywords: Cotton, Salinity.
