ABSTRACT
Climate change poses significant challenges to agricultural productivity, food security, and Keywords: Climate change; Sustainable agriculture; Climate-smart agriculture; Food security; Adaptation and mitigation.
environmental sustainability worldwide. Rising temperatures, irregular rainfall, droughts,
floods, soil degradation, and increasing pest and disease pressures are affecting crop and
livestock production systems. Sustainable agriculture offers promising approaches to address
these emerging challenges through climate-smart practices, efficient resource management,
conservation agriculture, agroforestry, precision farming, renewable energy, and resilient crop
varieties. This paper highlights the major impacts of climate change on agriculture and examines
innovative strategies for improving resilience and sustainability. Future perspectives emphasize
technological advancements, integrated resource management, policy support, farmer
participation, and climate-resilient agricultural systems for achieving long-term food security
and environmental sustainability.
